Oman Environmental Services Holding Company, known as Be’ah, has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources to manage healthcare waste. This agreement specifically involves the collection, transportation, and treatment of waste produced by government veterinary clinics linked to the ministry.

The initiative underscores Oman’s commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability and ensuring the effective management of hazardous waste. The agreement aims to promote safe practices in handling healthcare waste, which is crucial for public health and environmental protection.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Bakri, who serves as the Undersecretary for Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, and Jassim Mohammed Al Wahaibi, the General Manager of Healthcare Waste Management at Be’ah. This collaboration represents a significant step towards improving waste management practices in the region.
