The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has introduced the ‘Safety Patrol’ initiative aimed at improving emergency preparedness in industrial, commercial, and residential facilities throughout the emirate. This program is part of the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’ and focuses on raising safety awareness and enhancing the response capabilities of individuals and institutions.

The ‘Safety Patrol’ conducts field visits to various facilities in Abu Dhabi to assess preparedness levels, provide preventive guidance, and boost awareness about emergency responses. Additionally, the initiative features training sessions designed to enhance both individual and organizational capabilities in meeting safety requirements.
To promote compliance with safety standards, the ‘Safety Patrol’ awards Safety Certificates to facilities that successfully meet established prevention criteria. It also issues Observation Cards to highlight areas requiring improvement. Moreover, the initiative introduces a Safety Voucher that offers discounts on safety equipment, encouraging proactive measures for emergency readiness. By merging public engagement with preventive strategies, the ‘Safety Patrol’ exemplifies the Abu Dhabi Government’s dedication to fostering social resilience and ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents.
