The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has set the official work hours for federal government agencies during the holy month of Ramadan. FAHR sent out a letter saying that the office will be open from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Fridays, work hours will change to 9 AM to 12 PM, unless an employee’s job needs them to work during different hours.

Additionally, FAHR has said that ministries and federal agencies can keep using flexible work rules that were allowed during working days during Ramadan. This flexibility must be in line with set rules and not go over the daily maximum number of hours that can be worked. As long as the approved controls are followed, remote workers may also be given flexibility on Fridays during Ramadan, as long as the total number of workers does not reach 70% of the total workforce.
