UAE and Benin Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, met with Shegun Adjadi Bakari, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Benin, on January 24, 2025, in Abu Dhabi. During this meeting, Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the Beninese Foreign Minister and engaged in discussions about enhancing bilateral relations. They explored opportunities to boost cooperation across various sectors, including development, economy, trade, and investment.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to utilizing all available opportunities to strengthen productive partnerships with the Republic of Benin and other friendly nations in Africa. He emphasized the importance of fostering prosperity and well-being for the peoples of both countries, WAM reports.

The two ministers also shared insights on current regional and global developments during their discussions. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, the Minister of State, who contributed to the dialogue on enhancing collaboration between the UAE and Benin.
