The meeting, held at the Za’abeel Palace in Dubai, focused on exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations to advance mutual development goals across various vital sectors.

During the meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Sheikh Mohammed expressed pride in the UAE’s longstanding ties with Finland, which have spanned five decades of diplomatic relations. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to strengthening these ties by seeking new opportunities to enhance their strategic partnership.
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo conveyed Finland’s eagerness to further develop cooperation with the UAE, acknowledging it as Finland’s leading trading partner in the Gulf region. He praised the UAE’s impressive development journey and its significant contributions to regional and international humanitarian efforts. The Finnish Prime Minister also extended his best wishes for the UAE’s ongoing growth and prosperity.
The discussions also covered the UAE’s many advantages for businesses and investors, such as its world-class infrastructure, advanced legislative frameworks, and attractive economic incentives. These features have solidified the UAE’s status as a leading regional hub for key sectors, including tourism, trade, financial services, and logistics.
