Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has signed a partnership agreement with Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Development Agency, during the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival.

The deal was signed in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SRTI Park, and the Park’s CEO, Hussein Al Mahmoudi. Representing Ireland was Marina Donohoe, Head of Research and Innovation at the Development Agency. The agreement also saw the participation of Dr. Asma Mahmoud Fikri, Director of Government and Institutional Partnerships at SRTI Park.
This collaboration aims to enhance ties in advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and emerging technologies. It is expected to provide companies from both countries with better access to new markets at a time when trade between the UAE and Ireland is seeing significant growth.
Hussein Al Mahmoudi described the partnership as a major step forward for commercial and research relations between the two nations. He emphasized that SRTI Park continues to serve as a global hub for innovation, with Ireland’s expertise in clean technologies and precision engineering bringing new value to their ecosystem.
Marina Donohoe noted that this agreement is an important milestone in fostering stronger connections between Ireland and Gulf countries. She highlighted Sharjah’s position as a prime destination for Irish companies in advanced manufacturing and engineering, offering fresh opportunities for research and industrial collaboration.
Dr. Fikri added that the agreement reflects a year of joint efforts, including trade delegation visits and exchanges of expertise. Both sides aim to achieve strategic goals such as creating joint business and investment opportunities, supporting market expansion in Sharjah and Ireland, and launching training programs to help companies adapt to diverse business environments.
