Indian Wealth Firm Ambit Expands into Middle East with DIFC Office

Ambit Global Private Client (Ambit GPC), a player in bespoke financial solutions, has officially launched its operations in the Middle East with a new office located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This strategic expansion follows Ambit’s acquisition of Dubai-based Moonrock Investments Ltd in November 2024, which underscores the Indian wealth management firm’s ambition to enhance its global footprint.

According to Khaleej Times, the newly established entity, Ambit Global Private Client (Mena) Limited, combines Ambit’s institutional-grade expertise with Moonrock’s regional presence. The firm aims to provide services tailored for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and family offices throughout the Middle East. Ambit GPC, which is a subsidiary of the Mumbai-based Ambit Private Limited, currently manages over $9 billion in assets under management and advice (AUM&A) for more than 1 000 of India’s wealthiest families.

Ambit’s entrance into Dubai capitalizes on the region’s financial dynamics, utilizing DIFC’s reputation as a global financial hub. This expansion reflects a broader trend where Indian financial firms are pursuing international growth amid the burgeoning Indian economy. By merging Ambit’s sophisticated advisory services with Moonrock’s local expertise, the firm is well-positioned to attract non-resident Indians, foreign nationals, and local family offices.

Ashok Wadhwa, group CEO of Ambit, emphasized that entering the Middle East is a crucial milestone in the company’s transformation into a global wealth management brand. He stated, “As Indian wealth goes global, we’re here to deliver seamless, world-class solutions—wherever our clients are.” The acquisition of Moonrock, which is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), enables Ambit to introduce its renowned research, discretionary portfolio management strategies, and innovative investment offerings to a new market.

Amrita Farmahan, CEO of Ambit GPC, noted that DIFC aligns with their goal of empowering clients to adopt a global mindset. She mentioned that their platform aims to bridge Indian and international markets with unique perspectives, expressing enthusiasm about building lasting relationships in the region.

Their team will provide customized solutions across various asset classes, adhering to Ambit’s guiding principle: “Wisdom is the ultimate wealth.”
