Al Etihad Payments and Mastercard Launch Jaywan-Mastercard Cards

Al Etihad Payments (AEP), a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), has partnered with Mastercard to introduce the Jaywan-Mastercard debit and prepaid cards in the UAE. This collaboration aims to improve secure, seamless, and accessible digital payment options across the country.

The new Jaywan-Mastercard cards will allow users to perform secure, simple, and smarter transactions, including e-commerce activities, thereby setting a new standard in the UAE’s payment landscape. This initiative combines innovative products and value-added services that will enhance the overall payment experience for cardholders.

This collaboration is designed to provide customers with a wide range of domestic and international financial services through the networks of AEP and Mastercard. It promises to deliver greater convenience, enhanced security, and a more seamless payment experience. H.E. Saif Humaid Aldhaheri, the CBUAE’s Assistant Governor for Banking Operations and Support Services and Chairman of Al Etihad Payments, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that it represents a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and innovative financial landscape in the UAE. He noted that leveraging advanced technology through this collaboration aims to provide citizens and residents with increased convenience, security, and access to a global network of financial services.
