The 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will take place on 1-2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event is organized under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The theme for this year’s summit is ‘Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy’.

The summit will gather influential local and international figures, including officials, decision-makers, experts, and representatives from government organizations and academic institutions. They will focus on developing proactive solutions for a swift and equitable transition to a global green economy, while also making significant strides towards achieving net zero emissions.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and Chairman of the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), highlighted the summit’s role since its inception in 2014. He stated that WGES has been a crucial platform for discussing climate action, sustainability, and green finance, while fostering global cooperation and dialogue. The upcoming edition will build on previous successes and continue to promote collaborative efforts to balance economic development with environmental sustainability, reinforcing the UAE and Dubai’s leadership in climate action.
WGES 2025 will address important topics such as technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy technologies, relevant policies and legislation, finance, climate equity, climate adaptation and resilience, as well as the involvement of youth in climate action.
