The Dubai WoodShow 2025, currently taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre and running until April 16, has attracted a significant number of visitors eager to explore advanced products and solutions in the woodworking industry. The event features exhibitors from both international and local companies, showcasing a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and regional expansion.

According to Zawya, Mikhail Buychev, Head of Marketing Communications at SEGEZHA GROUP, a Russian Timber Holding Company, shared his thoughts on the exhibition. He described it as their “favourite exhibition,” commending its organization and stating that Dubai sets the standard for how exhibitions should be conducted. Buychev emphasized that the event offers invaluable opportunities to reconnect with existing clients and meet new ones, highlighting their commitment to environmentally friendly technologies for enhanced wood processing and efficient raw material use.
VANACHAI GROUP from Thailand has participated in the Dubai WoodShow for the past six or seven years. Export Sales Representative Mr. Vathanyu noted the high traffic at their booth, even with established agents and distributors in the region. He explained that their presence at the event goes beyond sales, focusing on maintaining a visible connection with customers. Vathanyu also discussed the company’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, detailing their efforts to minimize waste and reduce resource use, including paper.
Sameer Hassan, Trade Strategist at Foresta Wood Industries LLC, reported a successful first participation at the Dubai WoodShow, where their acrylic products mimicking marble garnered significant interest from clients in Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Morocco. He hinted at future innovations, including marine-resistant boards with proper edge bending technology.
Abhishek Bhansal, Executive Director at MAKERS Decorative Laminates, emphasized the importance of returning customers at the show, noting good footfall. He introduced new textures and abstract designs in their latest collection, while also reaffirming the company’s dedication to sustainability. Mehul Agarwal, Director at DORBY, discussed their new product offerings, which include an anti-fingerprint range of laminates, already distributed in the UAE.
Lastly, AR MACHINERY, led by a duo of electro-mechanical engineers, has become a leader in woodworking machinery, providing state-of-the-art equipment and maintenance. The company’s journey, rooted in a passion for excellence, reflects its commitment to quality and reliability in the industry. Welmica Laminates Pvt. Ltd from India also showcased an extensive design portfolio at the event, offering over 2 500 SKUs, which allows them to cater to diverse market needs effectively.
