The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is set to organize the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event will be held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, along with the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

WETEX is recognized as a significant global sustainability event and the largest of its kind in the region, encompassing sectors such as energy, water, green development, and sustainability. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and founder and chairman of WETEX, highlighted that the ongoing support from the UAE’s leadership has allowed WETEX to evolve into a globally pioneering event that accelerates the energy transition and aids in achieving net-zero goals.
The exhibition aims to showcase the UAE’s leading role in renewable energy technologies within the Middle East and North Africa. Al Tayer noted that WETEX supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global hub for the green economy and sustainable development.
Each year, WETEX attracts thousands of companies from both the government and private sectors worldwide. Last year, the event welcomed 50 000 visitors and featured 2 800 exhibitors from 65 countries, showcasing 21 international pavilions. Participants highlighted advancements in energy, clean and renewable energy, cybersecurity, smart cities, and health and safety, among other sectors.
WETEX 2025 will introduce key features such as the Green Mobility Zone and the Future Energy Landscape Forum, which will focus on sustainability in the oil and gas sector. The exhibition will also include a Health and Safety Hub and a Leadership Roundtable with prominent leaders and executives. Additionally, a series of workshops and panel discussions will provide insights into the facilities available in Dubai for companies looking to establish new offices or branches.
In the previous edition, over 130 specialized sessions and panel discussions were held, featuring global experts discussing critical topics including innovation, sustainability, electric vehicles, water treatment, and emerging technologies. The event serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, aimed at fostering a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
