EFG Hermes, a leading investment bank in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has officially launched its 19th Annual One-on-One Investor Conference, which is recognized as the largest and most influential investment forum in the region. The conference is being held at the JW Marriott Hotel Marina in Dubai from April 7th to 10th, 2025, under the theme ‘MENA Investment Playbook.’ This year’s event promises to deliver unparalleled insights and facilitate dynamic investment discussions.

The gathering has attracted an impressive array of participants, including 220 companies from 12 countries and 675 institutional investors and fund managers representing 252 global institutions. This reflects EFG Hermes’ commitment to enhancing the experience for all attendees and providing significant value during the conference.
Despite ongoing global economic uncertainties, the MENA region continues to stand out as an attractive option for investors. The region’s limited exposure to global trade conflicts, combined with structural reforms and a focus on economic diversification, positions it favorably amidst challenges. The conference aims to support future investment in the region by offering attendees unique insights and opportunities to connect with key decision-makers.
Karim Awad, Group CEO of EFG Holding, noted that the conference coincides with rising global market volatility, driven by trade disputes affecting economic growth. He expressed optimism about the MENA region, emphasizing that strong balance sheets, currency stability, and lower interest rates are fostering resilience and credit growth, particularly in key Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets. Awad welcomed participants to engage in vibrant discussions and exchange ideas throughout the event.
The agenda highlights feature a keynote address from Karim Awad, along with a significant fireside chat titled “Egypt’s Economic Reset? An Inside View,” which includes insights from Rami Aboulnaga, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt. Additional discussions will focus on the role of capital markets in advancing the UAE’s long-term vision, featuring contributions from Hamed Ali, CEO of Dubai Financial Market, and Hadi Badri, CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation.
As part of the conference’s interactive format, the EFG Hermes Live Research Poll, recognized as the region’s largest live research poll, will engage attendees in gauging sentiment across the investment landscape. This segment, moderated by Sally Mousa from Forbes Middle East, aims to foster meaningful engagement among participants. On April 8th, H.E. Ahmed Kouchouk, Egypt’s Minister of Finance, is scheduled to join the conference, providing insights into Egypt’s economic roadmap and engaging with investors.
Mohamed Ebeid, Co-CEO of EFG Hermes, highlighted that this year’s conference focuses on investment opportunities in the MENA region for 2025 amidst rising economic anxieties. He noted growth in sectors such as renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure, driven by initiatives like Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the UAE’s Centennial 2071. Ebeid expressed the goal of equipping investors with actionable insights to navigate the evolving landscape and emphasized the importance of connections formed during the conference to shape the future of MENA’s capital markets.
