The closing ceremony of the 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup has achieved a significant milestone by setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest flying LED screen. This impressive feat was accomplished using a total of 5,983 drones, surpassing the previous year’s record of 4,000 drones.

The event took place at the Meydan Racecourse and was attended by over 60,000 spectators. The 20-minute show showcased advanced drone technology, lasers, lights, and a spectacular fireworks display. The drones created stunning 3D formations in the sky, including portraits of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as animated scenes featuring horses and the championship trophy.
According to Guinness World Records, the Dubai Racing Club successfully broke their own record, demonstrating their innovation and technological advancements in drone capabilities. They noted that the newly created drone screen can present videos and images in a manner similar to commercially available screens.
