GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star, recognized as the world’s largest technology and startup event, will transition to the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City from November 9 to 13, 2026. This significant change was announced by the event organizers on Wednesday.

The move is designed to keep pace with the rapidly evolving global technology landscape, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence. The Dubai Exhibition Centre represents a substantial $2.7 billion investment and is set to become the largest purpose-built indoor events venue in the region.
The DEC aims to function as a global hub for high-value clients, enhancing opportunities for networking and deal-making. This relocation will allow GITEX to broaden its emphasis on emerging technologies such as quantum computing, data centers, digital health, and Web 3.0. The organizers anticipate that this expansion will attract a wider audience from various sectors and promote increased collaboration opportunities.
The venue boasts several advantages, including seamless connectivity and proximity to Dubai’s new international airport, along with world-class amenities located within walking distance. With over 20,000 parking spaces available at Expo City Dubai, attendees can expect easy access to major roads and metro connections, minimizing transportation challenges.
This strategic relocation aligns with Dubai’s vision to establish itself as a global epicenter for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). The DEC is expected to host more exhibitors and international visitors than previous venues, creating a cohesive destination for technology and startup partnerships and investments.
