The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has entered into a financing agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) to enhance the connectivity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) power grid. The agreement is valued at AED752 million and aims to support the development and expansion of energy infrastructure within the region.

This significant investment is expected to bolster energy security and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources across the Gulf states. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to improve energy cooperation and sustainability among GCC member countries.
Officials from both ADFD and GCCIA emphasized the importance of this agreement in advancing regional energy initiatives. They noted that the project will play a crucial role in fostering economic growth and enhancing the reliability of electricity supply across the GCC.
