The agreement is expected to enhance the sustainability of EGA’s operations and contribute to the local economy by ensuring a stable supply chain for the aluminium sector. According to a statement from both companies, this partnership aligns with the UAE’s commitment to boosting local manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports.

The supply of calcined petroleum coke is vital for EGA as it is used in the production of anodes, which are essential in the aluminium smelting process. This initiative not only underscores the importance of collaboration between major industry players but also highlights the growing role of local resources in supporting the energy and manufacturing sectors in the UAE.
