Dubai is set to host the 11th World Green Economy Summit on October 1-2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event is organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO). The summit will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss strategies for advancing sustainable development and enhancing climate resilience.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the World Green Economy Summit has become a key platform for international collaboration on green initiatives. The upcoming summit seeks to build on the outcomes of previous editions, particularly the 10th WGES, which focused on crucial themes such as decarbonisation, advancements in clean energy, and climate finance.
Key topics for the 11th edition will include transitioning to low-carbon economies, the role of green hydrogen in energy diversification, and mechanisms for mobilizing climate finance to support sustainable projects globally. Additionally, the summit will emphasize the importance of circular economy practices and the integration of technology in addressing climate change.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Managing Director & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO, underscored the significance of WGES in promoting innovative solutions for environmental challenges. He mentioned that the summit acts as a catalyst for partnerships that propel the global green agenda forward.
The event is anticipated to attract a wide range of participants, including representatives from governments, international organizations, academia, and the private sector. Discussions will center around aligning efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and facilitating knowledge exchange regarding best practices in sustainability.
