DEWA Seeks International Developers for Expansion of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced its invitation for international developers to submit expressions of interest for the 7th phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. This phase aims to add 1,600 megawatts (MW) of solar power capacity, further advancing Dubai’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is a significant initiative within Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which seeks to provide 75% of the emirate’s total power output from clean sources by the year 2050. With the addition of the 7th phase, DEWA aims to strengthen its position as a leader in sustainable energy solutions while supporting Dubai’s overall economic growth and environmental goals.
