stc Bahrain, a prominent digital enabler, has announced the launch of its ‘EMERGE’ summer internship program for 2025, aiming to empower youth and foster community development. The internship program is designed to provide interns with valuable opportunities and professional guidance, helping them grow personally and professionally while gaining practical skills necessary for the workplace.

For over 15 years, stc Bahrain has significantly contributed to youth empowerment by connecting academic learning with real-world corporate experience. Since 2010, the company has provided more than 80 000 hours of internships and summer training, which has been instrumental in shaping the skills of Bahrain’s future workforce. The 2025 program will feature 22 interns, including dedicated slots for participants from the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), highlighting stc Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to community development.

Fahad Alowaini, Chief Human Resources Officer at stc Bahrain, expressed that the ‘EMERGE’ program reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing young national talents. He stated that they take pride in offering impactful training opportunities that prepare Bahraini youth for future job market demands. Alowaini emphasized the company’s dedication to enhancing internship programs in line with the evolving needs of the local market and the rapidly growing telecommunications and technology sector.

The two-month ‘EMERGE’ Summer Internship program offers interns a comprehensive understanding of various fields, including corporate presentation development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and design thinking. Interns will also undergo specialized training in project management fundamentals, provided by the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), to improve their skills in effective project management practices. Additionally, they will participate in a two-day iCAMP workshop conducted by INJAZ Bahrain, where they will develop essential leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Moreover, stc Bahrain has formed strategic partnerships with several universities in Bahrain, such as the American University of Bahrain, British University of Bahrain, Royal University for Women, Euro University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, and the University of Bahrain. These partnerships ensure specific internship slots for students during the summer and winter sessions, alongside opportunities for stc Bahrain employees.
