During the inauguration, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasized that GETEX 2025, now in its 41st edition, plays a vital role in empowering students to shape their academic and professional futures. He highlighted that the exhibition reflects the UAE’s commitment to investing in human capital and promoting lifelong learning, aligning with global educational transformations and modern technologies.

He noted the wide variety of academic and career options available at the exhibition, including traditional disciplines and future-oriented pathways, which are in line with the evolving job market. According to him, this variety showcases the UAE’s growing status as a global education hub, driven by flexible policies, high-quality academic institutions, and a strong dedication to innovation and development.

The Sheikh further stated that these educational efforts are part of the UAE’s national agenda, guided by the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aimed at constructing a knowledge-based society that equips future generations with essential tools. He affirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting education and preparing the youth to contribute to national progress and global society through knowledge and competence.

GETEX 2025 provides thousands of students and parents with the opportunity to meet representatives from over 30 countries. Attendees can access detailed information about universities and programs, receive career counseling, explore international education destinations and student visa requirements, and even apply for university admission on-site.

In response to changes in global education policies, particularly regarding student visa regulations in traditional destinations like the UK, US, Australia, and Canada, GETEX promotes alternative study opportunities in regions such as Europe, the CIS countries, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan. The exhibition offers a diverse mix of conventional, non-traditional, and future-focused academic programs.

The UAE is becoming a significant beneficiary of this global shift, owing to its flexible university admission policies, internationally-aligned quality standards, advanced technology integration, strong public safety record, and excellent global connectivity. These factors enhance its appeal as a destination for international students.
