Indonesia’s Minister of Manpower Yassierli recently announced plans for collaborative training initiatives with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and China. This announcement came during discussions with the UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Abdulrahman Al Awar. The Indonesian Labour Ministry’s press release highlighted that Indonesia is ready to cooperate on internships and workforce training, offering pre-training at work training centres (BLKs) located within Indonesia.

Yassierli emphasized that the BLKs in Indonesia are prepared to train prospective workers to meet the specific skill requirements set by employers in the UAE. Minister Al Awar expressed his support for this initiative and confirmed the UAE’s interest in receiving interns across various sectors.
In a separate meeting with China’s Minister of Manpower Wang Xiaoping, Yassierli discussed Indonesia’s favorable business environment. He expressed a willingness to share Indonesia’s experiences in regulating labor relations to attract Chinese investment. Minister Wang appreciated the proposal and invited the Indonesian delegation to visit China to enhance cooperation and exchange ideas on personnel training tailored to the needs of Chinese companies operating within Indonesia.
