To complete the electronic registration, parents must follow several steps outlined by the Ministry of Education. Initially, they need to visit the Ministry’s official website and select the “Electronic Registration” option. Following this, they will log in using their Absher account credentials through the unified national access portal. Parents are then required to input essential student information, including the full name, date of birth, and nationality, before selecting a preferred school based on their residential area. They must also upload necessary documents such as a birth certificate, vaccination records, and proof of residence. Finally, parents should verify the accuracy of all entered data before confirming registration, after which a confirmation text will be sent to their registered mobile number.

The Ministry has set specific conditions for the electronic registration of new students. Students must be at least 6 years old or within 90 days of reaching that age, have completed all basic vaccinations as per the Ministry of Health’s schedule, and provide proof of residence confirming their location within the school’s catchment area. Additionally, students are required to undergo necessary medical examinations at accredited health centers. Parents are urged to ensure that these requirements are met to facilitate their children’s registration.

This new electronic registration system provides significant benefits, notably reducing the time and effort needed for parents to complete the process online. It also enhances the accuracy of the data submitted, reducing errors typically associated with manual entries. Moreover, it promotes fairness in the allocation of students to schools based on established criteria while enhancing transparency in the registration process. The Ministry of Education is dedicated to improving experiences for both parents and students by offering advanced digital educational services that align with modern technology.

Key dates for the registration process are as follows: for first grade students, registration opens on April 6, 2025, and closes on May 3, 2025. Kindergarten registration (level three) follows the same timeline. For kindergarten levels one and two, registration will begin on June 22, 2025, and will remain open until all spots are filled. Parents are strongly encouraged to comply with these timelines to secure their children’s places in government schools.

In addition to the educational registration process, the Ministry of Health has begun accepting job promotion requests for administrative staff from the second to the ninth level, starting on April 16, 2025, and concluding on April 22, 2025. This process will utilize the “Masar” platform. The Ministry has clarified that the assessment of job performance for the year 2024 will account for 50% of the evaluation criteria, while training courses will contribute 20%. Employees need to confirm the accuracy of their data in “Masar” before selecting their job preferences.

Employees are also advised to consult their local human resources department for discrepancies in their employment data via the “Tawthiq” system, managed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. After job preferences are selected, the ministry will allow document attachments through the “Mawarid” system for those who have indicated their job desires on the “Masar” platform after the selection deadline.

The Ministry emphasized that if no job opportunities appear in an employee’s record on the “Masar” platform, it may indicate ineligibility for promotion or a lack of suitable positions matching their qualifications. Volunteer work will also factor into the evaluation, contributing 20% to the overall score, with specific hour requirements. Employees are encouraged to propose initiatives that can save money or enhance departmental efficiency, with additional points available for achieving certificates of excellence.

As the registration period approaches for both educational and job promotion processes, it is essential for parents and employees to stay informed and prepared. The automated nature of these processes ensures efficiency and reduces human error, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to utilizing technology for improved public service.

Additionally, the General Directorate of Passports has announced the start of electronic applications for issuing entry permits to the Holy Capital for resident workers during the Hajj season. This service will be available through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform “Absher” and the Muqeem portal, facilitating operations during the Hajj season without the need for visits to passport administration offices.

Through the integration with the digital platform for issuing Hajj permits, known as the “Tasrih platform,” the Absher Individuals platform will also allow the issuance of permits for domestic workers and sponsors, investors, and Gulf Cooperation Council citizens. After submitting required documents, workers at establishments in the Holy Capital can obtain their entry permits, further improving public service delivery through technological advancements.
