Mbank Collaborates with Abu Dhabi University to Enhance Academic and Professional Development

Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), a prominent digital bank in the United Arab Emirates, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi University to develop various academic, training, and professional development programs for undergraduate and graduate students. This partnership aligns with the Abu Dhabi government’s vision to foster collaboration with leading educational institutions and enhance the competencies of UAE government employees.

The agreement aims to create impactful initiatives that will provide ADU students with specialized programs tailored to the economic priorities of the UAE. As part of this collaboration, students will have access to internships, summer programs, placement assistance, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate joint research and consultancy projects to equip students with essential skills for the competitive job market.

Mbank employees will also benefit from this collaboration through access to ADU’s academic offerings, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and Executive Leadership programs, subject to admission criteria. They will have opportunities to engage in workshops, seminars, and forums organized by the university, promoting ongoing learning and professional development.

Dr. Hamad Odhabi, Vice Chancellor for AI and Operational Excellence at Abu Dhabi University, emphasized the partnership’s significance, stating that it aligns with their commitment to preparing students with industry-ready skills. He noted that combining academic excellence with insights from the financial sector will help students thrive in the evolving digital economy.

Mr. Mohammed Wassim Khayata, Chief Executive Officer at Mbank, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting Mbank’s dedication to empowering the youth of the community by providing transformative educational opportunities. He reiterated the shared vision of serving the needs of the UAE and promoting lifelong learning and career advancement.

Abu Dhabi University, established in 2003, is recognized as one of the leading academic institutions in the region, serving approximately 8 700 students from over 100 nationalities. The university offers over 50 accredited undergraduate and graduate programs across five colleges, with a strong focus on research and collaboration with various organizations.

This collaboration between Mbank and Abu Dhabi University is set to create significant value for both institutions and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce that meets the demands of the UAE’s growing economy.
