According to Taaleem, Harrow International School Abu Dhabi will provide a “super-premium education experience,” drawing from Harrow’s 450-year legacy of educational excellence. The school will follow the UK curriculum, emphasize strong academics, offer exceptional pastoral care, and provide extensive co-curricular programs. Class sizes will be optimized to ensure personalized attention for every student.

The design of the school is currently in the advanced stage, managed by KODA, an educational architecture firm based in Dubai. His Excellency Edward Hobart, the British Ambassador to the UAE, highlighted the significance of this new school, stating that it reflects the strong educational ties between the UK and the UAE.

An ‘Expression of Interest’ process for potential students and families will be initiated soon, with enrollment set to open in October 2025. While the tuition fees for Harrow International School Abu Dhabi have not yet been announced, they are anticipated to be on the higher end of the UAE school fee spectrum.

Khalid Al Tayer, Chairman of Taaleem, remarked that the launch of Harrow International School Abu Dhabi signifies the group’s strategic expansion into the super-premium education sector. He emphasized Taaleem’s commitment to delivering educational excellence and enhancing the quality of education across the UAE.

The establishment of Harrow International School Abu Dhabi follows approval from the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and the signing of a land lease agreement for the site. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including H.E. Mubarak Hamad Al Mheiri and H.E. Badr Al-Olama.

Taaleem, which has recently expanded its portfolio by acquiring Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé Meydan, aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position in the global education landscape with this new school. The UAE’s education sector is witnessing increased demand for high-quality, English-medium education, particularly among expatriate and local families.
