Emaar Launches AED100 000 Art Competition for Burj Khalifa

Emaar, the Dubai-based property giant, has announced a competition that offers AED100 000 to a creative from the UAE whose design will be showcased on the façade of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. This initiative aims to provide a platform for local artists, designers, and creatives to express their vision on one of the most recognized landmarks globally.

The competition will accept entries from May 6 to May 26, 2025. This timeframe allows participants the opportunity to leave their artistic mark on the Burj Khalifa while sharing their concepts with a worldwide audience. Emaar’s Chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, expressed that the initiative underscores the company’s dedication to fostering creativity and innovation.

To enter the contest, participants must submit original projection videos or animations that embody Dubai’s essence of innovation, creativity, and cultural richness. The submissions should consist of dynamic visual content, lasting up to three minutes, and must adhere to specific technical criteria that align with the advanced projection system of the Burj Khalifa.

Emaar has provided detailed technical specifications for the design submissions, including requirements for resolution, format, and mapping guidelines.
