Fujairah’s Trade Licences Surge as Certificate Value Exceeds $3.54 Billion

The Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) reported that the value of certificates of origin issued in Fujairah surpassed AED 13 billion (approximately $3.54 billion) last year. This figure represents an increase of around 18% compared to the previous year, highlighting a robust demand for trade documentation in the emirate.

In 2024, the total number of active trade licences registered with the FCCI rose to 11 503, up from 10 807 in 2023. Sultan Al Hindasi, the Director General of the Chamber, noted that this increase of approximately 6% reflects a growing interest in conducting business in Fujairah.

The Chamber also saw an uptick in new licences, with 1 375 new registrations in 2024, marking a 7% increase from the previous year. In addition, the number of renewed licences reached 10 128, which is about 5% higher than in 2023. Al Hindasi mentioned that the total membership of the Chamber reached 30 320 in 2024, up from 28 937 in 2023, indicating a continued commitment to investment in the region.
