Education entrepreneur and philanthropist Sunny Varkey, alongside his family, has pledged a substantial contribution of AED 100 million to the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of honoring fathers through the establishment of a sustainable endowment fund that provides healthcare and treatment to those in need.

The Fathers’ Endowment campaign operates under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. It focuses on enhancing sustainable humanitarian efforts, especially aimed at empowering underprivileged communities and ensuring they have access to essential healthcare services.

The Varkey family’s significant donation is part of a broader wave of support from various government bodies, private sector entities, and individuals, highlighting the UAE’s strong commitment to humanitarian causes. Sunny Varkey, who is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of the GEMS Education Group, emphasized that the campaign continues the UAE’s tradition of generosity established since the nation’s founding, noting that its positive impact has reached communities worldwide, providing hope to those in need.

The campaign is actively inviting donations from individuals and institutions through multiple channels. These include its official website, a dedicated call center, bank transfers, and SMS options. Additional contributions can be made via the DubaiNow app and Jood, Dubai’s community contributions platform.
