The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has achieved an impressive ranking, securing the second position in the 2025 Safety Index compiled by Numbeo, a global database that gathers user-contributed data on cities and countries. This ranking underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to providing a safe environment for both residents and visitors.

The Safety Index is based on a variety of factors, including crime rates and how safe residents perceive their country to be. This comprehensive approach offers insights into the overall sense of security experienced in everyday life within the UAE. The leadership in the UAE has consistently prioritized public security, and this ranking reflects their continuous efforts to ensure safety for everyone in the country.
In this latest index, the UAE scored 84.5, placing it just behind Andorra, which took the top spot with a score of 84.7. Qatar followed closely in third place with a score of 84.2. Taiwan and Oman rounded out the top five, with scores of 82.9 and 81.7, respectively. The report surveyed 147 nations and territories to arrive at these rankings. In contrast, countries with the lowest safety ratings included Venezuela, which ranked last with a score of 19.3, followed by Papua New Guinea at 19.7 and Haiti at 21.1.
