ADNEC Group Records AED 8.5 Billion Economic Impact in 2024

ADNEC Group achieved a record AED 8.5 billion contribution to the UAE economy in 2024, exceeding its 2023 impact of AED 7.4 billion. This milestone reflects its growing role in supporting the UAE’s push for economic diversification and a knowledge-based economy, according to WAM.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, ADNEC Group’s Managing Director and CEO, described 2024 as a year of remarkable successes. He attributed these achievements to visionary leadership, innovation, and the team’s commitment to sustainability and excellence.

The group expanded its portfolio by acquiring Royal Catering and the Business Design Centre in London. It also broke new ground in sustainability by becoming the first Middle Eastern MICE venue to use clean energy from Emirates Water and Electricity Company. Additionally, it launched TerraTile, an eco-friendly flooring made from exhibition waste.

ADNEC’s venues hosted over 1 000 events, attracting 5.4 million visitors—its highest ever. Major events included the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show and Global Food Week. Capital Events, its event management arm, facilitated AED 10 billion in deals, while Capital Catering delivered 40 million meals and supported 2 200 events.

ADNEC Hotels posted record numbers, hosting over 1.5 million guests. Tourism 365, the group’s tourism arm, managed 350 000 travelers and generated 250 000 room nights. Additionally, Twofour54 launched advanced TV studios and supported 34 major productions.

As ADNEC Group enters 2025, it aims to further Abu Dhabi’s goals of economic growth and sustainability by exploring new opportunities in tourism, events, and hospitality.
