This year marks the 10th anniversary of ADFD’s strategic partnership with the World Government Summit. Over the past decade, ADFD has played a crucial role in creating investment opportunities through international collaboration. The Fund has not only boosted Emirati exports but also contributed to economic and social stability in countries that benefit from its funding.

Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, the Director-General of ADFD, expressed pride in the decade-long partnership with the summit, noting that it reflects their commitment to promoting comprehensive development. He emphasized the importance of the summit as a platform for sharing successful experiences and leveraging innovations, particularly in artificial intelligence, to positively impact communities.

Al Suwaidi highlighted ADFD’s achievements over the past year, especially in supporting the UAE’s foreign development aid policy. The Fund expanded its reach to 107 countries, allocating funds to strategic projects aimed at helping governments meet their national development objectives. He also noted ADFD’s dedication to enhancing the UAE’s economy, with approximately AED 10 billion directed towards supporting Emirati industries and improving their competitiveness in global markets.

During the summit, ADFD participated in a workshop focused on the UAE’s role in BRICS, underscoring the need for collaboration between the UAE and BRICS nations to foster sustainable economic growth. The session provided insights into enhancing cooperation and investment opportunities within this partnership.

In addition to workshops, ADFD engaged in bilateral meetings with delegations from various countries to explore development and investment initiatives. These discussions were aimed at fostering sustainable development and innovative financing solutions to tackle global challenges.

The ADFD delegation also took part in panel discussions addressing vital global issues, including climate change and food security. The summit featured over 30 heads of state, 80 international organizations, and 140 government delegations, comprising more than 300 speakers and over 400 ministers participating in discussions on major future trends and transformations.
