During the World State Conference-2025, the UAE and Sri Lanka signed a promotional and mutual investment security agreement aimed at strengthening their economic and investment relationships.

The agreement was officially signed by the UAE Minister of State Mohammad Bin Hadi Al Hussaini and Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath. This bilateral agreement establishes a secure legal framework designed to expand investment opportunities in global markets while protecting foreign investments.

The primary goal of the agreement is to facilitate foreign investments between the two nations through comprehensive investment security measures, dispute resolution mechanisms, and effective policy frameworks.
