His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree that approves the general organisational structure of the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW). This new structure aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the department and streamline its functions.

The Decree specifies that the Sharjah Executive Council is responsible for issuing decisions based on the approved organisational structure. These decisions will include the detailed organisational framework of the SDPW, along with necessary measures to implement the Decree. This encompasses approving job descriptions for the department’s various units, in line with their respective competencies, and provisions for creating, merging, or cancelling any subordinate organisational units.

This restructured approach reflects the government’s commitment to improving public works in Sharjah and ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated efficiently. The developments under this new framework are expected to contribute positively to the overall governance and infrastructure management within the emirate.
