The UAE has made it easier for content creators, social media influencers, and filmmakers to live and work in the country with the introduction of the UAE Golden Visa for Content Creators. This visa offers long-term residency for up to 10 years without the need for a sponsor, giving creative professionals the freedom to focus on their work while receiving extensive support.

The initiative, launched in January during the 1 Billion Followers Summit, is part of the UAE’s efforts to attract 10,000 global content creators to the region. Creators HQ, the official endorsing body for the program, handles the entire application process, including nominations, relocation services, and business setup assistance.

The application process is straightforward. Applicants need to fill out a form on the Creators HQ website. If approved, a nomination email will be sent within four to ten weeks. Next, a mandatory medical test must be completed at Smart Salem in Index Towers, with results typically ready the same day. After that, applicants can visit the Services 1 Centre at Emirates Towers to process and print their Golden Visa, which takes one to two days. Finally, the Emirates ID can be collected from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP).

Creators HQ offers a wide range of services to support content creators in establishing a professional presence in the UAE. These include paperwork assistance for filming permits, licences, and tax registrations. Relocation help is also available, covering housing arrangements, utility setups, and visa support. Additionally, the team provides guidance on business registration and licensing, ensuring creators can smoothly enter the UAE’s creative market.

Financial and legal support services are also part of the package, giving applicants access to tax consultations, business solutions, and legal advice.

With this initiative, the UAE aims to position itself as a key destination for global talent in the digital media and creative industries, offering unmatched opportunities for influencers and storytellers worldwide.
