Dubai Trade Launches Trade+ to Enhance Digital Trade Operations

Dubai Trade is advancing its operations by evolving its Digital Delivery Order (DDO) platform into Trade+. This upgrade is part of a broader strategy to improve the efficiency and speed of trade operations within Dubai’s supply chain and logistics sectors. The new Trade+ platform aims to facilitate the digital exchange of cargo release documents among shipping lines, freight forwarders, consignees, and other stakeholders involved in trade.

With Trade+ now integrated into the Dubai Trade Single Window for Trade and Logistics, businesses can experience an impressive average reduction of 90% in transaction times. Tasks that previously required up to 48 hours can now be completed in less than 10 minutes, allowing companies to process higher trade volumes and expedite cross-border operations significantly.

In addition to enhancing transaction speed, Trade+ streamlines approvals, payments, and document transfers. An important environmental benefit of this platform is its commitment to paperless transactions, which has saved an estimated 2.36 million documents from being printed in 2024. This shift not only reduces paper usage but also significantly lowers carbon emissions related to travel, fuel consumption, and congestion.

Dubai Trade has dedicated substantial resources to the development of Trade+, ensuring it aligns with the evolving needs of businesses. The platform is set to undergo continuous refinement and development, aiming to deliver further benefits and process improvements to optimize the experience of conducting trade in Dubai.

The introduction of Trade+ underscores Dubai Trade’s commitment to digital transformation within the trade sector. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to position the city as a leading global trade and logistics hub while supporting the Smart City vision aimed at developing one of the world’s most technologically advanced and sustainable urban centers.
