His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Khalil, the Foreign Minister of the Maldives, in Abu Dhabi today.

The leaders discussed ways to deepen relations between the two countries, focusing on areas such as the economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, and climate initiatives. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with the Maldives, aiming for mutual progress and prosperity for their nations.

The meeting also touched on regional and international matters of shared interest, with both sides exchanging views on these topics.

The discussions were attended by senior UAE officials, including Minister of State His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh and Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri.
