Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Canadian Minister of Industry in Ottawa

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Mélanie Joly, Canada’s Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, during his working visit to Canada.

During their discussions, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the strong friendship between the UAE and Canada. He explored frameworks for cooperation and methods to enhance collaboration that would benefit both nations, focusing on mutual interests that contribute to their prosperity and well-being.

The two officials reviewed opportunities for collaboration across various sectors, particularly in industry, trade, investment, technology, and renewable energy. Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the importance of joint efforts to strengthen cooperation in the industrial sector, leveraging the strong ties between the UAE and Canada and the sector’s diverse opportunities that align with both countries’ sustainable economic development goals.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade; Sultan Al Mansoori, Envoy of the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Abdulrahman Ali Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Canada.
