UAE Offers Exemption on Residency and Visa Fines for Sudanese Nationals

The UAE announced a decision on Saturday to exempt Sudanese nationals from paying outstanding residency or visa fines. This announcement was made by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security and reported by WAM News Agency.

The authority stated that this decision is part of the UAE’s ongoing commitment to support brotherly nations and provide humanitarian assistance during times of crisis. It emphasized the country’s dedication to promoting humanity and peace.

This exemption will take effect on May 19, 2025, and is valid until the end of the current year. Sudanese nationals with outstanding fines will be able to regularize their status and submit renewal applications through the ICP’s official digital platforms, with the incurred fines being waived.
