President of Uzbekistan and Minister Al-Mazrouei Discuss Strong Bilateral Relations

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, met with Suhail Mohamed Faris Al-Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, who is a special envoy of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his visit to Uzbekistan. The meeting also included Dr. Saeed Matar Al-Qamzi, the UAE Ambassador to Tashkent.

During the meeting, Al-Mazrouei conveyed the greetings of the UAE leadership, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. He expressed their wishes for further progress and development for the leadership and the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

The two leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various sectors, particularly in renewable energy, transportation, and logistics services. They also highlighted the robust and flourishing economic relations between their countries. Al-Mazrouei led a high-level UAE delegation to Uzbekistan to participate in the Samarkand International Climate Forum, held from April 4 to 5 in the city of Samarkand. The forum included several heads of state, such as leaders from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, along with officials from the European Union, the United Nations, and experts in climate and renewable energy.
