The contract also includes Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and In-Service Support (ISS), highlighting EDGE’s comprehensive capability in defence solutions. Additionally, the company will supply ammunition for the vessels, further showcasing its end-to-end service offering. Al Marar noted that the deal demonstrates the rapid industrial and engineering advancements achieved by EDGE, underscoring its capability to design, build, and deliver complex naval platforms at scale.

The FALAJ 3-class missile boat has already been adopted by the UAE Navy, with the first unit, ALTAF, officially commissioned in February 2025. This deployment showcases the vessel’s operational capabilities in regional waters. The newly agreed vessels are specifically designed to meet Kuwait’s operational needs, featuring high performance, advanced combat systems, and enhanced capabilities for littoral defence missions.
