Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, announced that a total of 22 415 new Indian companies entered the UAE market during the first half of 2025. This marks an increase of over 10% compared to the same period in 2024. By the end of the first half of 2025, the total number of Indian companies in the UAE reached 264,687, highlighting the continuous growth of economic cooperation between the UAE and India.

This announcement was made during a meeting between Minister Al Marri and India’s Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries, H.D. Kumaraswamy, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and aimed to discuss enhancing opportunities for collaboration in economic and industrial fields of mutual interest, particularly in new economy sectors, logistics, advanced technology, and food and manufacturing industries.
Minister Al Marri emphasized the importance of strengthening communication between the business communities of the UAE and India. He noted that there is a need to stimulate the establishment of diverse projects across various vital economic sectors. He also pointed out that the UAE has a flexible and competitive economic legislative environment that encourages industrial investment, with the contribution of the manufacturing sector to the non-oil GDP reaching 13.5% in 2024. This sector ranks second among the economic activities contributing to the non-oil GDP of the national economy.
