The meetings focused on key topics such as liquefied natural gas, petrochemicals, and strategic shipping, as both nations aim to deepen their partnerships. This dialogue follows the recent signing of the UAE’s largest LNG supply agreement with various Chinese companies, highlighting the growing economic ties between the two countries.

In recent years, the relationship between the UAE and China has strengthened, with the UAE emerging as the Arab world’s second-largest economy and continuing to diversify its economic base. As of 2024, China has become the UAE’s largest trading partner, with total bilateral trade exceeding $100 billion.

During the meetings, Dr. Al Jaber and Chinese officials also discussed their mutual interest in fostering industrial and technological partnerships that contribute to sustainable development, facilitate knowledge transfer, and enhance global competitiveness, according to the UAE state news agency, Wam.
