Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has officially launched a new representative office in Toronto, Canada. This strategic move aims to strengthen economic ties and explore opportunities to increase bilateral trade and investments between Dubai and Canada.

The inauguration took place during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Toronto, attended by Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, Abdulrahman Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Canada, and members of the Canadian business community.
This new office represents the first Dubai International Chamber representative office in North America and is part of the ‘Dubai Global’ initiative, which aims to establish 50 representative offices worldwide by 2030. Al Mansoori noted that the opening of the office is a significant milestone for enhancing economic relations between the two regions.
He stated that the Toronto office would serve as a strategic platform for connecting businesses, facilitating investment flows, and opening new channels for bilateral trade. Al Mansoori emphasized the commitment to assist Canadian businesses in leveraging Dubai’s strategic location and competitive advantages as a gateway to global growth.
The launch comes amid strong and growing business relations, with the value of non-oil bilateral trade surpassing AED10.2 billion last year. Moreover, by the end of 2024, more than 4 thousand Canadian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, representing a 29% annual growth rate. The momentum continues into 2025, with 289 new Canadian companies joining in the first quarter.
The Toronto office will be an essential resource for businesses in both regions. The chamber’s team plans to engage actively with the Canadian business community, create strategic partnerships with key public and private sector stakeholders, and showcase Dubai’s unique advantages as a global business hub.
Canadian companies will benefit from valuable market intelligence and practical support to establish and grow their presence in Dubai. Additionally, the office will aid Dubai-based businesses seeking to expand into Canada by providing targeted insights, identifying high-potential trade and investment opportunities, and connecting them with reliable local partners for a successful market entry.
