The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the Dubai Chambers, organized a workshop in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy. The event aimed to educate members of the Business Councils associated with the chamber about the provisions and advantages of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) signed by the UAE.

The workshop brought together leaders and members of various Business Councils to emphasize the strategic importance of CEPA agreements in unlocking new trade and investment opportunities for Dubai’s private sector. Participants learned about key provisions of the agreements, which reinforce the UAE’s position as a leading hub for global trade and logistics.

The session also outlined the benefits of CEPAs, including enhanced access to international markets, the reduction or elimination of customs duties, and streamlined customs procedures. Additionally, the agreements aim to establish clear and transparent regulations while promoting fair competition and trade-based growth.

Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated that the organization is dedicated to empowering Business Council members to seize promising investment opportunities. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness within the business community regarding the strategic significance of CEPA agreements, which are critical for boosting the competitiveness of the national economy and enhancing cross-border trade and investments.

The country-specific Business Councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce work closely with the chamber to stimulate bilateral trade and investment. They aim to strengthen connections between Dubai-based companies and businesses from the represented markets, ultimately fostering strategic economic partnerships.
