His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, announced that the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) produced an economic output exceeding AED 22.35 billion in 2024. This announcement was made following Sheikh Hamdan’s review of the DWTC’s 2024 Economic Impact Assessment Report, which underscores the centre’s increasing importance as a significant contributor to Dubai’s economy.

The report indicates that the DWTC hosted over 100 major events during the year, which is a 32% increase from 2023. These events attracted approximately two million participants from around the world, reflecting the centre’s growing global influence.
Sheikh Hamdan said, “These figures reflect Dubai’s leadership and position as a global capital for business and innovation.” He emphasized that the DWTC serves not only as a venue for important exhibitions and conferences but also as a strategic enabler of economic growth, fostering opportunities, partnerships, and shaping the future. The success of the DWTC in 2024 aligns with Dubai’s broader economic objectives under the D33 agenda, which aims to double the size of the city’s economy and position it among the top global cities for business and innovation.
