EDGE Signs Cooperation Agreement with Brazil’s Emgepron

EDGE Group, a global technology and defense leader, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Emgepron, a state-owned project management company in Brazil. This agreement was formalized during the International Defense and Security Exhibition 2025 held in Rio de Janeiro.

The memorandum will facilitate the exchange of technical information aimed at developing future weapon systems, which includes missiles, torpedoes, and advanced precision devices for strategic military operations. Emgepron, which operates under the Brazilian Ministry of Defense, manages several advanced projects and markets products and services within Brazil’s defense industrial base. These offerings include military vessels, naval repair services, shipborne combat systems, artillery munitions, oceanographic services, and logistical support.

Thiago Silva, CEO of EDGE’s Latin America office, stated that this agreement marks a significant achievement for the group in the Brazilian market. He emphasized that Emgepron is a specialized and reputable company that will undoubtedly enhance EDGE’s capabilities and future projects, as well as its ongoing partnerships with other strategic entities, including the Brazilian Navy.

The memorandum paves the way for future discussions about potential collaboration on producing strategic defense solutions within Brazil. Emgepron serves as a technical partner for national defense companies in their exports to foreign governments. Additionally, Admiral Amaury Calheiros, CEO of Emgepron, noted that this cooperation presents a unique opportunity to drive technological innovations and expand in the global market. He affirmed that this alliance underscores their commitment to providing high-quality solutions and supports the development of quality projects in the future.
