Dubai Chambers is actively working to strengthen trade and investment relations between Dubai and India. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, the Chairman of Dubai Chambers, met with Sunjay Sudhir, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, to discuss strategies for enhancing these vital connections.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of Dubai Chambers and included Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the President and CEO of the organization. During this meeting, both leaders emphasized the strong economic ties that exist between Dubai and India and the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in trade and investments.
Al Mansoori highlighted the commitment to fostering cooperation with countries globally to promote sustainable economic development. He noted that Indian companies are the largest group of foreign businesses in Dubai, significantly contributing to the growth of various business sectors. He stated, “Indian companies rank first in terms of the number of foreign businesses operating in Dubai and play a vital role in the growth of all business sectors, reflecting the ongoing momentum in Dubai-India relations.”
He further expressed that Dubai Chambers is dedicated to supporting the Indian business community, encouraging them to expand across various sectors and use Dubai as a launchpad for entering promising global markets. The Indian Business Council, which operates under Dubai Chamber of Commerce, was identified as a key player in strengthening bilateral trade relations.
In addition, Al Mansoori pointed out the importance of collaboration in the information technology sector, aiming to leverage shared expertise to enhance digital and technological solutions in logistics and aviation. The discussions included the World Logistics Passport initiative, launched by Dubai, which seeks to expand trade opportunities, reduce costs, and improve service timelines for global trade.
The meeting also explored growth opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs in Dubai, emphasizing the emirate’s role as a gateway to global markets. Dubai International Chamber’s extensive network of 33 representative offices worldwide supports Indian businesses in regional and international expansion. This includes a representative office in Mumbai, which is instrumental in attracting Indian investments and assisting Dubai-based companies in their growth within India.
Finally, the meeting underscored Dubai’s appeal as a top destination for trade and investment for Indian businesses. In 2024, Indian companies were the largest group to join the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, contributing 16 623 new memberships, showcasing the strong demand for trade relations between the two regions.
