Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an Indian engineering and construction conglomerate, has announced that its subsidiary, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), has secured a significant contract worth $1.5 billion from Saudi Aramco. This contract involves providing essential engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the first phase of Aramco’s ambitious Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) hub in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The deal is part of Aramco’s Accelerated Carbon Capture & Sequestration (ACCS) initiative, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and enhance the company’s CCS capacity. The first phase of this project is a critical element of Aramco’s long-term environmental strategy, as the company strives to mitigate its carbon footprint and reinforce its position during the global energy transition.
The announcement reflects L&T’s commitment to supporting sustainable energy initiatives in the region while also showcasing Saudi Arabia’s investment in innovative technologies to address environmental challenges.
