Sheikh Mohammed Approves New Board of Directors for Dubai Chambers

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the Board of Directors for Dubai Chambers, which serves as the umbrella organization for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the Dubai International Chamber, and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. This approval was announced on February 6, 2025, and aims to enhance the Chambers’ role in promoting economic development and business growth within Dubai, while also fostering international partnerships. The initiative is part of a broader effort to accelerate the digital economy and reinforce Dubai’s status as a leading global hub for business, trade, and investment.

The newly appointed boards consist of multi-disciplinary members who are expected to strengthen Dubai’s unique business model. This model is founded on effective collaborations with international companies, innovative enterprises, and entrepreneurs. Abdulla Al Ghurair has been designated as the Honorary President of Dubai Chambers, while Sultan Al Mansoori has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Sultan bin Sulayem will serve as Chairman of the Dubai International Chamber, and Omar Sultan Al Olama will lead the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.

The Board of Directors includes notable members such as Helal Saeed Almarri, Ahmad Abdulla bin Byat, Omar Abdulla Al Futtaim, and others. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce Board includes Sultan Al Mansoori as Chairman, with a diverse range of members contributing to its leadership. This Board features individuals such as Dr. Amina Al Rustamani and Khalid Juma AlMajid, among others, each bringing significant expertise to the table.

Additionally, the Boards of the Dubai International Chamber and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy have been structured to include experienced professionals. The Advisory Councils of these chambers play a critical role, representing the interests of the business community and providing strategic guidance. Their contributions are essential in addressing key challenges and ensuring that the needs of various economic sectors are voiced effectively.

This restructuring of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 2021 has created three distinct chambers under the Dubai Chambers umbrella. This strategic initiative reflects the leadership’s vision for meeting future growth demands and reinforces the Chambers’ role as a crucial component of Dubai’s economic strategy and foreign trade plan. The ultimate goal is to position Dubai as a central player in global trade, enhancing its economic resilience and competitiveness.
