These agreements were signed during the conference, held at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park. The new facilities will complement an existing pharmaceutical plant in the area, further contributing to the growth of the regional pharmaceutical industry.

The new factories will specialize in a range of products, including respiratory items, eye drops, antibiotic capsules, stomach medications, and first aid materials. Construction of these facilities is currently underway, with completion anticipated between mid and late 2026. As reported by WAM, Dr. Munir Rayyan, Chairman of the Organising Committee, talked about the importance of these agreements for strengthening partnerships between global pharmaceutical companies and local UAE factories, which will enhance the UAE’s position in the regional pharmaceutical economy.

The first factory, with an investment of $44 million, will focus on producing eye drops and respiratory products, incorporating advanced technologies in its operations. Construction of this facility is expected to be completed by late 2026. The second factory involves a $35 million investment and will occupy a 10,000-square-foot space, specializing in antibiotic capsules and stomach medications, with a production capacity set to reach 600 million capsules annually, slated to begin operations in 2026. The third factory, valued at $5 million, will concentrate on producing first aid products, with construction scheduled to start later this year and completion anticipated by early next year.
