His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has given his approval for the establishment of an organic honey products factory and laboratory in the central region of Sharjah. This facility is set to produce not only honey but also pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials that are derived from honey. The completion of the project is anticipated in October 2025.
In its initial phase, the factory is projected to produce 120 tonnes of honey each year. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance local production and diversify the economy through the development of organic agricultural products. The establishment of the factory aligns with Sharjah’s strategic goals to promote sustainable practices and increase self-sufficiency in food production.
The new factory is expected to create job opportunities in the region, contributing to the local economy and supporting the agricultural sector. This project reflects the commitment of the Sharjah government to foster innovation and sustainability within its industries, particularly in the production of organic goods.
